Artist Statement
My current work consists of mixed-media paintings that beckon the viewer to find connection and meaning while witnessing the natural movements within the artwork. The paintings possess gestural abstraction, textural language, and patterned elements, ultimately expressing my belief that “we are never alone”. These works often explore our Collective soul's journey and the acceptance of change.

My work seeks the potent connection experienced in liminal spaces, of those ‘in-between’ moments where vulnerability fosters profound unity. It is there we meet with our shadow selves, and find love, forgiveness, and the comforting realization of our shared existence, as we meet and flow with the loving Creator.

Drawn into resilience forged through hardship and a deep spiritual connection, my process often involves meditative dives into the universal Spirit. This exploration informs the emerging narratives within my art. recent experiences navigating the country in an RV while caring for my husband during his battle with cancer profoundly shaped my understanding of life's fragility and the enduring power of love.

My most recent work speaks to resurrection and new worlds. I have been revisiting artworks that have paused their dialogue with me, resurfacing them with 'Simplicity dressmaker' papers as a form of rebirth. These familiar patterns become a new skin, a textured veil that hints at past lives while embracing resilience, transformation and renewal. This act of concealment and revelation speaks to the inherent beauty of change. The freedom of non-attachment allows for a fearless approach to the act of creation, being un afraid to die gives one the freedom to live without fear, creating fearlessly.
